Machining

Machining is critical to almost every industry. SCT has developed thoroughly tested methods of CNC machining including turning, swiss machining, milling (horizontal & vertical up to 5 axis), grinding, & broaching. We are consistently able to hold tolerances in the 0.0001” range. We have put all of our lessons learned into each new product we manufacture to ensure we deliver the best quality products at the lowest possible cost with the fastest delivery times.

Plastic injection molding is a method to obtain products by injecting molten plastic material into a mold and then cooling to solidify the part. This method allows mass production of plastic products with complicated shapes with minimal cycle time. Metal injection molding is a method to obtain molded products by injecting powdered raw material with a thermoplastic additive molten by heat into a mold and then cooling and solidifying them. This method allows mass production of metal products with complicated shapes with minimal cycle time. MIM is comparable to creating products from bar stock in terms of tensile strength and design capability, without the added time needed for CNC programming and machining.

SCT utilizes progressive stamping tooling for high volume, uninterrupted production with one tool performing all of the needed operations.
